FAQ
Is every piece of jewelry identical?
Each piece of jewelry is made from a real bullet casing. Therefore, it may have slight rough spots, ejector marks, or shallower or deeper markings depending on the original factory. This is perfectly normal. Casings were never designed to be jewelry. Only to be effective.
Where do your materials come from?
All casings are original, fired by me. They are all made of brass, including the silver-plated ones. The rest of the jewelry is made of stainless steel, which is strong and durable. I also use natural stones to add character and authenticity to each piece.
Are your jewels limited editions?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on chance.
How do I care for my jewelry and is it water-resistant?
No special care is needed. A simple soft cloth if necessary, and keep it in its box when not worn. Apply perfume first and wait until the skin is completely dry. Chemical products should be avoided (no cleaning with it!), and prolonged bathing should be avoided. Even if each casing is protected by a professional varnish, water and brass do not mix well.
Do you deliver throughout the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom?
Yes, but each country has its own rules and deadlines. Patience and courage.
What if my package is lost even though it is marked "delivered"?
I am not responsible for losses by La Poste or Mondial Relay. Check your tracking and contact them if needed. After shipment, the rest is out of my hands.
What if my package is damaged?
If the package shows signs of opening or significant impact upon delivery, I strongly advise you to refuse it from the carrier, stating "damaged package" as the reason. The package will then be returned to me at no cost to you. Upon receipt of the return alert, I will contact you to arrange the next steps: sending a new piece of jewelry (depending on stock availability), or a full refund if the item is out of stock.
How long will it take to receive my jewelry?
The time depends on your location and country. But 6 to 10 working days is the generally observed timeframe.
Can I return a piece of jewelry?
If a piece does not suit you, you have 14 days to let me know via the contact form. Shipping costs are non-refundable and are entirely your responsibility. Make sure the package is sturdy and tracked: if the piece gets lost before reaching the workshop, unfortunately, I can't do anything for you. Any jewelry that has been worn, or marked by time or use, will remain with you. A Dust & Brass piece is an object of character that lives with its owner; if it has already started its life around your neck, it can never return to the forge.
Think carefully before pulling out your credit card. If you do, it's to aim true.
What if my jewelry is damaged?
Each piece is made with care, but if a manufacturing defect appears, contact me within 72 hours via the contact form. After verification, a solution will be proposed: exchange or repair. Each piece is unique, but not to the point of being defective.
When are the next drops?
Drops are on the 1st of every month with limited quantities. If there are no more pieces, you will have to wait for the next month's drop.
